Hi,

I use a summagraphics table for good control of my mouse, but I find since changing from Dos to Windows, (some years agos of course), it doesn't move very fast. Works fine as a pointer but not as a cross hair. Any ideas how to fix this?

Not that I know the answer but what version of acad, what operating system and what tablet driver are you using?
The old dos/acad driver just cannot keep up with modern processor speeds.

I use Autocad 9, Vista 32 bit operating system, 4 GB ram, 2 Duo 2.33GHz, a current wintab driver for the summasketch III. Tablet works version 10.05 Build 5.
It is only when doing 3D drawing the mouse is slow.

Do you really mean AutoCAD 9 ( a very old, pre-Windows version) or A2009 ?

I use Autocad 9, Vista 32 bit operating system, 4 GB ram, 2 Duo 2.33GHz, a current wintab driver for the summasketch III. Tablet works version 10.05 Build 5.
It is only when doing 3D drawing the mouse is slow.

"Wintab" in this case is pretty much what you are missing. The GTCO drivers are NOT Wintab 1.1 compliant, which is what AutoCAD really needs if you want to use a tablet properly.

The Virtual Tablet driver (www.vtablet.com) is available for Vista now. You won't actually be able to buy it until mid-November (the guy isn't there to do the paperwork until then, I think), but you can download a 60-day trial there. I've been using the driver on Vista 64-bit and it works fully with 64-bit AutoCAD or as a mouse with 32-bit verticals. You should have no problem getting full function in 32-bit Vista once you set the pointing device in options to "Wintab..."

I downloaded vtablet. It is still slow. may be some setting to change. Just trying the change from auto to fast.

Where is this button (set the pointing device in options to "Wintab...")

Type "options" and look on the System tab
