Custom stringers

Hello.
I tried to make custom stringers by doing the create>new family>rails
and build a custom profile and then load it into the drawing..
The problem I running into is that I had to make the ballister disappear because the stringers are "I" beams and they have no ballisters..
Now I need to make custom railins and ballisters but how am I going to make them show up without messing up my stringers?

Since your stringers are a "railing", you need to make another railing on the stairs that defines your balluster railing. Either go to Modeling>Railing and sketch a new one, or copy your stringer and then edit it>duplicate>rename, and then define what the railing should be. You can have as many "railings" on a stair as you'd like.

that should work!! Thanks so much for the quick reply..I will give it a try..
Hopefully in the next release they will have a better stair tool.
