Hi, I've got some buildings linked into a seperate site plan drawing and I'd like to know if there is a way I can simply put a hatch pattern on the building foot prints in the site plan view of the site plan drawing. The project is currently not much further on than the massing stage and I'd like to be able to make the buildings (which all have flat roofs) to stand out a bit more.

Thanks. :)

You can certainly draft a pattern over the linked footprints and then turn off the links visibility.

You can't have a pattern in the original building file that will show once that file is linked into a site plan.

Hi Exar,

Have you tried a Filled Region yet? In the drafting tab select the fill property you need and literally trace your building layout.

you could make a floor slab with a material with a surface pattern on it. Then just turn off the walls and leave the floor slabs on.
