We do all of our printing to file,

When we print to a file we use the option:

Create separate files, View/sheet names will be appended to the specified name

How can I change this? I don't want to append the View name to my sheet name.

All I want is the Sheet Number example: A-101, A-102, M-202, P-104...

We have to rename all of our files to remove the appended view name. and on a job of 800 or more sheets that's a lot of work.

Ok, well we use Namewiz to do the renaming, so it isn't that bad but it can cause errors if one is not paying attetion. And we have a few that don't and rename the wrong sheets in a rush.

I can export to ACAD and only have the sheet number A-101 but can't print this way. How come?

The export gives you the option to use short or long naming while printing to file doesn't.

In Revit 2008 it did, but didn't work but I think it was for PDF format but don't really remember.

I can't seem to find it in Revit 2009

The file long short is in Export to ACAD and works fine there

I you or someone else can help me find this Long short name for printing to file you will be my hero...

Thanks
