Joinery Detailing

Using Revit Arch 2009, how do I (or even can I?) accurately detail timber or wood joinery?

Currently I have a simple Butt Joint with 2x6's that are showing as overlapping but I need to illustrate a clean line, a butt joint.

Any advice??

Not quite sure what you're after.

Are you using the structural framing in Revit?
