Frit pattern curtain wall panel

Hi everyone,

I'm trying to import CAD files into Revit curtain wall panel families. Reason for this is to develop a frit pattern on unique panels. The CAD files include hundreds of points which have a size of 10mm. These settings were specified in the CAD file (PDMODE & PDSIZE).

Problem is that importing the CAD file into the family it causes the points to resemble actual points rather than circles.

Is there a way to allow Revit to understand these points as circles? Or a way to convert the points in the CAD file to true circles?

Are you trying to import the CAD files to actually model the frit pattern circles? If yes, wouldn't be better to create a new model pattern (maybe using the Hatchkit tool) with the pattern you want and then just use it with your panel?

I wasn't going to go that direction although I have given it thought. I had come across hatchkit before but I will see if it is useful in this case, in theory it sounds like the most ideal choice. I'll let you know how it works out.
