Section question

When I draw a section, I double click the new section view, and for some odd reason, I have to expand the boundaries waaaaay waaaay out on all sides to see anything, is there a setting I messed with or something? It used to do it on ground level ff the width that I specify as I dragged the section marker out...

What is the setting?

Just check the section type you are using. Depending on how much you've edited or created you own template file, the base revit template had a few different types of sections. I believe i had this occur when using the detail section... If you change to either wall section or building section type this should no longer occur....
