Hi All

I'm currently building a set of families in Revit Architecture 2009 that contain a mix of custom extrusions and nested items (e.g. chairs). What I've been asked to try and do is set up a parameter on the new family that will allow the type of the nested item to be altered, so for instance if we have a standard desk chair in the family we can create a new type if needed and set the chair to be a different type to fit with the project in progress.

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated

Thanks in advance for your help

Mark,

You can load several families into another family, and label the instance of that nested family. Doing so you can view a dropdown selection in the properties of the family being loaded into your project and make a selection of all available nested families.
