McQuay, in their Rooftop Systems, 3-20 ton, Schedule & Instructions Project, makes reference to: “The majority of parameters on these models are Shared Parameters which have been defined and endorsed by Autodesk with the express purpose of being used by multiple HVAC equipment manufacturers as they produce Revit content going forward. This will allow equipment values from participating manufacturers to all be automatically included in the same schedules.”

This sounds good, does anyone know what the “Endorsed Shared Parameters” are, and should we be using them? Any feedback is appreciated.

Sounds like an effort to make content that comes from various sources to easily and consistently report in schedules. I'd say yes, use those parameters rather than creating new ones.

Having a list of them and the Shared Parameters file would be very helpful to others if someone needs to add another one so they work correctly, right? Even using the same name without the file will not work.

It's 10 years since this post. So many improvements to everything since then!

Are there any "Endorsed Shared Parameters" out there, anyone?
