We need to display our dimensions in inches and metric. how do you accomplish this?
is there a secondary dimension option somewhere?

Thanks

Hmmm..

Revit uses Project Settings and Project Units, which, I beleieve, are
either Imperial or Metric.

I do not think it is possible to have both Imperial and Metric annotations in the same project?

You can create a new dimension style and make it not follow the project units (Dimension properties > Edit/New... > Units format > uncheck Use project settings).

But to have both at the same time, you will have to copy the original ones, paste and switch them to be the new style.

Can you not have BOTH imp as primary and metric as secondary in brackets [...] or (....) out beside it??

I don't think so. You'll have to duplicate your dimension, create a new style and can make the units and offset of the text different, so when you paste the dimension and switch the style, the text will be above the original one and show different units.

Thanks for the tip... I was able to create a new dimension style and set one to metric and keep the other Imperial.

I am able to have both at the same time.

Thanks

Indeed!

Forgot about the "use project settings" checkbox.

all is good in Revit-land.
