Has anyone experienced when using color scheme legend that the colors cover the entire floor plan. So that you can't see any walls, furniture, etc... All you see is the color.

One architect had this happen but when we printed, it printed fine, so we thought that you can just turn off the color legend when working on the file and then turn it back on when printing. But now for a different architect this trick did not work. Even in the print out, all you see are the colors with no wall, furniture, etc....

Any ideas?

Thanks

There are two main ways to make colored plans:

1. Rooms with Color Fills

2. Area Plans.

Can you tell us which method you are using?
This will help determine how to address the problem.

Have you tried going to view properties and switching the Color Scheme Location option?

I believe that he is using Rooms with Color Fill, though I am not quite sure.
- He is doing the following:
- Color Scheme Legend
- Space Type: Rooms
- Color Scheme: Department (then he just assigns the department)

So I am guessing Rooms with Color Fill.

No, I had not tried what you sugested, I probably did everything but that, and I must say thank you very much because that fixed the issue... It was that darn simple. The location was set to background so it didn't even dawn on me to set it to foreground.

Seems backwards to me but hey I can think backwards if the end result is what we desire.

Again guys to both of you, Thank you
