I am working on importing some typical details to Revit from AutoCad 2007. When I do this and partially explode the details in Revit, all of the dimensions that came in are converted to lines for each component. Is there a way to keep the dimensions associated? Or do I need to just redo the dimensions in Revit?

You wont be able to convert them in to Revit *dimensions.* They will always just be lines and text.

Go one step further, and invest the extra few minutes per detail to recreate them in Revit. Down the road its well worth the effort.

At the very least, when you explode the DWG, purge out all the linestyles so when you use the detail you dont bring in 50 linestyles in to every project.

Good luck :)

You also need to know that an exploded, or partially exploded AutoCAD file definition (and its file size) cannot be "purged, or completely removed, so the DetaIL/Drafting View will carry that additional size with it PERMANENTLY.
