HI all,

Just picked up a Wacom Tablet, takes some getting used to but I have a few questions.

Is there a way to dynamically zoom and pan with the pen and tablet?
(without having to type of press a button)
- I have programmed FN1 to be "p+enter" so it intiates PAN but this is not ideal because I have to ESC out of it before I start to zoom.

Ideally, I want to be holding down a Keyboard key and use the pressure with the Pen tip to PAN like in illustrator u can hold "spacebar + left click" to PAN.

Also is there a way to ZOOM in and out dynamically? For instance depressing a certain button and moving the pen tip right zooms out and Left for zooming in?

I find this very cumbersome having to choose pan or zoom with having to initiate and ESC inbetween the actions.

Also,
Any other good tips to boost productivity?
What are you quick tips?

Also,
How have you programmed the Pen Buttons and Tablet buttons?
Pen mode vs Mouse mode? Reasons?

Also,
What is the best setting easy double clicking, I find that it doesnt register all the time. I want the slightest of double taps to be a double click.....

thanks all!

-trying not to go back to the mouse but its just sooo tempting =)

For all pan and zooming functions either get a Nostromo N52 game pad or a keyboard with a wheel built in.

as for function buttons its what ever you use the most of.

For double clicking leave the mouse attached, which is also good for file navigation. Warning until you get use to the pen accidents can happen when trying to double clip in explorer.

Question..I have the Bamboo Fun 450...I want to be able to review a document (pdf,jpg)...and be able to point out things on the document using bamboo...(writing, circling, check marks). Is there a software I need to be able to do this? I don't want to change the document..just mark it up. I'll be using this via webinar.

Thanks
Walt

Autodesk Design Review 2009, aka ADR.

free download from the Adesk website. Also get TrueView - as I believe that's actually required by ADR to view a dwg. (it does an on-the-fly plot to dwf to view and markup)

OK, so I'm a little late in weighting in on this but better late than never.

I use the circle in the middle of the function buttons to zoom with

I have the bottom button on the pen set to "pan/scroll" which allows me to click and pan without any keyboard input

Function zey 1 is set to do a zoom extents (zeenter)

Ideally, I want to be holding down a Keyboard key and use the pressure with the Pen tip to PAN like in illustrator u can hold "spacebar + left click" to PAN.

Upper pen button set to right click

Once I got used to it I found Pen mode easier. It's what I'm set to now.
