am i missing something?

i am trying to load a component....i hit "compnent", then "load"...i'm use to going to the website and i dont seem to be given that option...in 2009..........AND......i just made a new column family and loaded into current project to be told that i "can't make type"....it looks fine in the column file (everything modeled just like i want it)

Answer to your first question: In 2009, the web search isn't in the load family dialog anymore, it's a toolbar now named Content Search. I can't help with your second question sorry.

Second issue:

Something is *broken* in the family. Go in to the column family, and flex the constraints (change the values) and see what errors you get. The fmaily editor is like building a car on the moon: Just cuz it looks good floating in space, doesnt mean itll drive when you put it with gravity. :)

Also, when editing your family check it by switching between all the types. Maybe one of the types can't be created and that's the one you will have to review.
