I have a family of a bench, or church pew, that seems to have a reference somewhere about 30 feet away from the object. This makes it extremely difficult for me to work with the object in my project.

Could someone please take a look at it and try to help me resolve this pesky issue. You'll have to load it into a project to witness it - the mouse will snap to a reference 30 some feet away...I don't know how or why this happens.

Thanks in advance!

Your seat extrusions are not hosted by the correct reference plane - to check this, select the extrusion while in 3d view, and hit Edit - you'll see the sketch way off (about 30') to the side. You can correct this by selecting the extrusion, and selecting Edit Work Plane in the option bar, and selecting from the drop-down list.

Thanks dFriesen. This was good advice...that was the case and I went ahead and fixed the work planes for all of the extrusions. However, it STILL is giving me the same trouble. I have no more ideas ~~~ If anyone else can think of a solution, PLEASE let me know! You would save me a ton of time. Please Help!!

Hmmm, the other thing I suspected was a workplane embedded within an extrusion, but didn't find anything like that. How were those extrusions created in the first place? Was there a ref plane way out there at one time?

I didn't have time to look at it further, but the problem is related to the annotation in your bench. If you delete the annotation for the number of seats, your family will behave properly...

All you have to do is : reposition the geometry in the Rfa.
(In attachment your Rfa after making some adjustments in a hurry only to show you what I mean.)
