I need 1 skylight shown in RCP and RP

I want to place a Skylight on Roof that will be channel vertically thru the Suspended Ceiling System.
How do you guys do it?

A skylight is a window family. It would be nice if your could Join the Roof and the Ceiling (which works) and the Skylight would then cut through both of them but it doesn't. This does work with a window and two side by side walls but it doesn't work with a roof and ceiling. So I overlay the roof into the ceiling plan and make holes in the ceiling and LOCK the edges. Perhaps this is what you are already doing?

1. Go to the Ceiling Plan
2. Overlay the roof plan with skylights
3. Click on the ceiling object (use TAB to get perimeter)
4. Click Edit
5. Use the Lines tool and 'Pick Lines' to trace the skylights.
6. Lock all the edges to the skylights. 7. Finish Sketch. It goes pretty fast, and once locked you can move the skylights around and the ceiling openings will follow.

That is what I'd do as well. There is no "great" way currently, but it is the best I know of.
