Detail component Break Line - Design Options

Is there any way to get a detail component - namely the break line - to only show up in the design option it should be in?

All Annotations and drafted elements are view specific, they cannot be part of design options. Duplicate the view with detailing, and set each one to the two different options, then delete the break line where appropriate.

I do wish we could add annotations in to Design Options...
