AutoCAD Structural Detailing will not install on my 64-bit Windows-based operating system. Does anyone know of a work around or have an idea of when Autodesk will provide a 64-bit version?

TIA

Bob

That's their official word about it not being able to install on 64 bit OS, but they don't mention anything about when it will be available for Windows 64.

I haven't heard of anyone doing this with structural detailing but I think it would work, AutoCAD MEP and some other products did not used to support 64 either but you could modify the msi to allow it to install...instructions here http://autocadmep.blogspot.com/2008/04/installing-autocad-mep-2008-on-64-bit.html

Hello!
I just tried to follow the .msi configuration for ASD. The problem is that there is no msi-file to configure.

Is there anyone out there who knows an other way to solve a problem like this?

I really think Autodesk should come up with an ASD for 64-bit since they have the suite with Revit and AutoCAD 64-bit. But until they do we need to find a workaround.

Hello,

I am afraid that for the moment it's not possible to use ASD on a Bits Operating System. Unfortunately there is no workaround to do so.

Regards.

Emmanuel.

Autodesk has now released a 64 bit version update for this.
