I have been working on a project for school. It is a tower that has 50 floors that were cut by a Mass imported from Rhino. What I'm trying to do is infill the floor slab edges with a curtain wall system. In example1 I created a Mass solid between 2 floor slabs using Solid-Blend and used the Mass Curtain System by Face tool and got a pretty desirable look. However, the system is not attached to the floors. If I need to change floor thicknesses or level heights it is going to be timely to adjust all the masses in between all the floors.

So, then I tried using the Curtain System by Lines, example 2. It recognizes the floor profile lines but gives you one straight system panel which then you have to divide manually by using the Curtain Grid tool. This, too, is very timely because I have 50 floors which all have slightly different floor profiles.

Is there a way to have the look of example one but using the Curtain System by Lines tool but have a panel size like a 4'x8' to drive the segmentation of the system? I'm trying to avoid having to manually divide the system using the Curtain Grid tool. Or am I going about this all wrong? Any tips or advice would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Kirk

Do a search for Phil Read, and his famous complex blends that turn in to tall towers.

Your method one is perfect, except- You can parameterize the masses so that you can go in to a schedule and alter the FTF heights if necessary. Then youd be able to edit them all in about twenty seconds in the schedule, select the masses in 3D and hit Related hosts > remake, and have all the Curtain System by Faces update automatically...

Just lock the top of the sketch of the blend to the bottom face of the floor. If the floor thickness changes the mass also changes.
