I have started working on the Room Finish Schedule for a hospital renovation project. I would like some advice on how to do this before I get too far.

Do the finish fields should be just text parameters that I fill in or should I link them to the project materials?

What does it happen when I have more than one material on the floor, wall or ceiling?

If you have a example or advice I will appreciate it…, thanks a lot

I don't have an example file small enough to upload here. But, we currently do text values. We tried on a couple of projects to link it to the project materials (which worked great except for when you had a wall with more than one material). Our solution on those projects was to create a material called "See Elevation" (Shocking, I know). We'd use that "material" for complex conditions and force our consultants/subs to look at the interior elevations. (How draconian!) Unfortunately, this didn't take very well, and we've reverted to text fields. We use room type schedules (like described in another of your posts) to make sure we don't go too crazy with them. But, it is one more thing we have to manually coordinate now instead of letting the program do it for us.

Of course, Autodesk could get it's act together on room schedules and actually let us schedule these things intelligently instead of having to fake it. But, that's a comment for the wishlists...

Good luck!
