roof using extrusion

i created a roof using the extrusion method over an L-shaped plan. i'd like to edit the roof to follow the shape of the plan. does anyone know the best way to resolve this..

It would be better to use roof by footprint because then the hip an valley would be automatically drawn...but if you want to use a roof by extrusion what I would do is:

-go to a 3D top view
-drag the ends of the roof extrusions so they overlap at the corner
-use the join geometry tool to join the roofs
-use the cut roof profile tool to cut off the portions of the roof that extend past the hip and the valley. (in sketch mode pick the valley and hip lines that were created by the roof geometry being joined)

This should give you a roof that is cleanly joined at the corner.
