This is my experience that when we link any revit file more than 100MB in any other Revit file its get heavy and very slow and even the file gets crashed. Althogh I am having Intel COre2 Duo with Nvidia graphics. IS this a Revit related problem or is there any higher configiration recommended?

Hi sharanumotgi
Welcome to the AUGI.
The best solution here is to go to a 64 Bit OS. be that Vista 64 or XP 64. It will allow Revit to use more RAM. (Make sure you have a minimum of 4GB of RAM. If your other file sizes are large also, having 6GB of RAM may help.
Ensure you are using your worksets well. Have each link on it's own workset. That way you can close off the links by closing the relevant workset, without affecting your other work coligues.
How is the project setup?
How big are the files?
Have you read Autodesks white paper on modelling performance? The 64 Bit solution is the big answer, but you still need to ensure you are managing our model efficiently.
