Hi

When I select an entitiy temporay dimensions appear.
Even though it's right next to a grid intersection the dims appear to point to other entities almost randomly.

I've tried aligning it to the grid but with no change.
I've tried zooming right close in so that there's nothing else visible on the screen, agoin with no luck?

What are the rules of this function that determines what they attach too?
Are there any technics I can use to get it to behave sensibly?

Thanks

There are some limited setting you can control for wall, doors, and windows.
Settings>Temporary Dimensions
I haven't done much experimenting with them but it might help.

So there is Eric. Thanks .

As you say it is limited. I wonder why there is no Grid option? It does use those (sometimes)

There's no way to control where those wacky dimensions come from. When there are a lot of other things nearby, you never know.
What you can do, though, is click on the grip (the blue square) of one of the temporary dimensions and drag it to an element that makes sense.

The thing that bugs me the most about grip editing them is that they don't remember that edit the next time you pick that object. They are a great idea but with alittle attention from the factory temp dims could be an incredibly powerful resource.
