i have this roof (shown in attached image) i modelled it in two parts using the roof extrusion command and tried to join them into one.
i am not exactly happy with the result. could someone suggest a more efficient way to modelling this.
for starters , i knew where i wanted the ridge and didn't care for the angles of planes.
how would you usually achieve a roof of this shape since by using the extrusion method or a a more appropriate method.

thanks

use slope arrows. You will have two, one from each eave running to the ridge point. Then use the "set height at tail" property. Set the height at tail to 0'0" offset and the height at head to whatever your ridge height will be...

edit: see example file attached...

Why did you use extrusion and not by foot print?

I posted a reply to a similar question you had on roofs. Do the same thing: use Cut Plan Profile to cut out the unwanted portion of the roof!
