Having a problem of what appears to be certain elements in linked files not showing up. Appears to be certain worksets only (landscape in this case) or even specific families. Any ideas. Have checked visibility of all elements in linked files (as far as I can tell)
Thanks!

Have you checked if the discipline for the view (view properties) is set to architectural or coordination?

The other issue is that if items were drawn in the original file on worksets that are created to be off by default, no matter what you do, they will not be visible in the file it was linked into. This was an issue printed on the known issues when 2009 shipped, and has not been addressed in the updates ... yet. Not even sure if it can be addressed.

Thanks guys for both thoughts.
However neither worked. BUt I did notice that the issues seem to be work-set related. The linked file shows some work-sets but not others and does not appear to have a control under Revit Links in Visibility/Graphic Overrides for work-sets. Is that what you were talking aboaut Scott? Seems like it would turn on all work-sets but appears to be selecting from a specific view, just do not know which one that it is doing.

Yes that is what I meant

Unless you have cusomized the view under View Graphics Overrides, it would just be cutting the linked model at the cut plane of your current model. As I stated, it will not turn on worksets that were creates to be off by default, since in this view they would be "off by default". No you cannot control the worksets in the linked model directly. You'd have to go back into the linked model, and create a view with what you want to see, save it, go mack into your current model, then under the Visibility Graphics Overrides, set the link to custom, and then tell the view to look at that specific view you created. (Still will not see the worksets "off by default"

Thanks Scott. Makes sense. But why is my linked view button Under Revit Links "greyed out"? Must be something else that is causing me not to have that option. Any idea?
