this happens occasionaly....walls not comming together at corner

then i usually verify walls are the same....and offsets (for top and bottom) are same.....that usually fixes it....

in this example i started to sketch profile of front wall (wall with porch), making it two story on one side and one story on other.....but, realized i would have problems joining the corner.....so i introduced one story wall next to two story wall and tried to trim (mitre) to perpendicular wall.....this is the result.....both walls i'm attempting to join are same type in every way

I think your wall is trying to join with the wall just below the slab. Sometimes the best thing to do with these 3 walls situations is to select the wall's blue dot, right click and disallow automatic join. The you just bring the wall end to where you want and manually use the Join Geometry tool.
