I’ve made a new family to represent a pipe tap.
It started with a standard tee. Revit considers it just a tee but now it looks more like a tap.
How to use:
Trim your two coplanar pipes
Delete the Pipe Transition
Change the Tee to “Pipe Tap:Standard”
Pull little pipe away by dragging its endpoint and connect it back up. The tap will resize according to the size of the little pipe.
PS: Technical point: This is the longest Conditional Statement in a formula I’ve ever used in a Revit Family!
Tap Thickness = if(Tap Diameter < 0' 1 1/4", 0' 1 1/16", if(Tap Diameter < 0' 2", 0' 1 5/16", if(Tap Diameter < 0' 2 1/2", 0' 1 5/8", if(Tap Diameter < 0' 3", 0' 1 5/8", if(Tap Diameter < 0' 3 1/2", 0' 1 3/4", if(Tap Diameter < 0' 5", 0' 2 1/4", 0' 3 11/16"))))))
