Hi
I've created a family & defined the origin reference planes & it loads in perfectly, except if I click 'Rotate After Placement'.
The rotation point appears to assume the centroid of all the elements in the family.
Is there a way to override that & set it to the defined origin point?
Hope you can help

Unfortunately unless you create a rotation parameter in your family you're stuck with the default rotate command origin.

OK, If you really want, you can use this trick:
Add very small invisible lines (symbolic lines) spaced away from the family elements. Revit will consider the small lines as being part of the family, thus changing the centroid. Doing this you can "override" the rotation point to be wherever you want. Works like a charm...

Yes, neat trick indeed.
Would a circle work?
