Removing a split area in a wall

I had a user split the face of a wall and Paint the new surfaces created. Now, she wants to remove that painted area.

How can we do that?

Grab the outline of the split surface (not the entire wall) and delete.... You may have to tab to select it...

...and depending on how it was painted, you may need to re-paint it "By Category" to restore the original material.
