How about adding the Spell Checker to work within the MText dialog box... or put it inline like most office product do as you type it checks...

and, of course, make it so that you can share your custom dictionary with other applications.
like, if you do your specs in msword or corel wordperfect, you already have probably added plenty of custom words to the dictionary as you spell-check. It would be nice to be able to import those, if you already have them, or export them from autocad once you have one in there. or, just keep them in a shared place.

Check out the DCTCUST variable...it allows you to specify your own custom dictionary...
