Hi im just wondering if anyone has some good guidance on soffits and fascias, as this is always my weakest part when do my drawings.
How do you do it 'properly'?

Fascias are just sweeps that I attach to roof edges or soffit edges or other fascia sweep edges. Soffits are drawn in a ceiling plan and then usually have to be adjusted to the correct height.
I also like to have the fascia profiles and the soffits modeled as it will actually be built. If the soffit is a Hardi-board material on 2x4 framing, then I model it with the correct layer thicknesses to represent the construction.
What is it you're needing to know about?

Have you had any luck nesting detail components in those fascia profiles? I am having a terrible time with it. Long-story-short, the detail component doesn't stay aligned with the profile. They "flip" if you change the direction of the view.
