I have had a small exposure to using a Standard file and would like more information on how to use and create these files. Can anyone tell me how to get more information, the Help in AutoCAd is no help.

A DWS file is nothing more than a regular AutoCAD drawing file (.DWG) with a different file extension. You can use it as a standard for checking layers, dimstyles, etc. in any drawing file.
