View Full Version : Formatting Fields in Keynote Table

I am using ACA 2009, all OOTB tools to generate Keynotes and Keynote Legends. The keynote database is custom.

Through most of the project, the Legend table came in as I wanted - all uppercase, even though the keynotes themselves were typed in sentence case. This seemed to be the default setting.

Last week, the fields in (only some!) new Tables began to display in sentence case, even when generating a new table in a drawing that already has a properly formatted (all uppercase) table. I can change each field to be all uppercase, but this is impractical across an entire drawing set.

I am officially bewildered. I have read all I can find in the online help, printed manuals, and all of our other ACA lit. I have searched and posted in the Autocad forum (and now here). Something changed - there has to be a way to change it back.

So, does anyone know...

1. Where is the display behavior of these fields controlled from (besides the individual field), or, what setting did I inadvertently change to make these display differently? I assume it is a per-drawing setting, since the behavior is not consistent across drawings in the project.

2. Any ideas how to fix it? It dosen't seem to be a table style issue, and I can't figure out where else it would be controlled from. I even checked the case settings in the registry...

I hope this is clear enough...Thanks for any help anyone can give.

Are you sure this is an AutoCAD issue? Could this be an ACA issue? Keynotes are not part of vanilla AutoCAD.

I'm not sure its an AutoCAD issue... but...

I was hoping that maybe there was some trick or technique in dealing with fields and tables in general that would be helpful. The keynote object itself is not the issue - the same field that occurs in the keynote is displaying differently in the table in the same drawing. Am I right in thinking the of ACA keynote as just a multileader with a field instead of text?

Should this be moved to an ACA forum, then?

Thanks,

Daniel
