I have a project that is only a month old. In the past week it was upgraded to Revit 2009, current build SP3. The site file is linked into the building project file using shared coordinates. We are using Australian Map Grid, of the shared coordinate figures and thus they are quite large, but the elements in the file are right beside the project origin point.
The problem is, when I go to export the site setout drawing to a dwg format. I want to export it to the unit “meters” and to the shared coordinates origin. For some reason it always defaults to the project origin. I’m not able to reproduce the problem in other projects and I have never has this problem in the past using the same setup.

Any ideas why I may be having the problem?

Thanks
Brian

Where are the coords coming from? The site file right? You're trying to export the site file exact?

The coordinates came form the origional site survey. It was a dwg that was linked in and traced over. It's noted coordinates were then specified at a point in our Revit File.

Ok
I’ve been able to reproduce this error in both Revit Arch 2008 and 2009 on several different computers.
It seems you cannot export Revit to a dwg file using the shared coordinates origin of the revit project if the export is a drawing sheet. It works fine if you are just exporting a view, but if you export a sheet, it uses the project origin.
Can anyone else try this. Just set up a blank project. Draw something in the bottom right corner. Specify that as the shared coordinates origin. Put it on a sheet and then export it as a dwg using shared coordinates. When you open up the dwg the drawing origin will be at the project origin and not the shared coordinates.
Thanks
