Keynote Legend: Include elements from linked file?

Hi.
I'd like to create a keynote legend that includes keynotes from a linked file. I used display by linked view to show the keynotes attached to the linked model. However, the "include elements from linked files" option is grayed out. Are there any good workarounds for this?

None that I know of. I don't believe you can "retrieve" keynote information from the linked file though, at least not without custom API programing.

RightScott, Keynoteing is not available through linked files. A bummer for documenting large projects

So, what are people doing to show a keynote legend from a linked file? Recreating it with lines & text? Capturing it as an image and inserting that into the host file?

Image is one way to do it.
But you can simply recreate the Legend in the host file.
