Is there a way to change the line weight of a ceiling hatch? I have a 2' x 4' ceiling and the line weight is to thin, Plots out looking like that of the existing phase ceiling grid. I need to increase it.

Thanks

Surface patterns are always drawn with pen 1. You can overide the color of the surface pattern to give it a lighter tone. See attached screen shot showing a new vs existing ceiling.

So... I take it as this pen 1 can not be Changed?

You can changed the Weight of Pen 1 under Setting/Line Weights.

Correction, in RAC 2009, the ceiling surface pattern uses pen 2, not pen 1.
Has anyone found a way to adjust the lineweight of surface patterns, without messing up all of the pen settings?

I am realizing the same thing in RAC2010. Is anyone else seeing that ceiling surface patterns are using lineweight 2? I am trying to change it to line 1 in VV or object styles but it's not working.

Big workaround,

If you are really upset about the line weights for the ceilings. You can put filled regions into the ceiling plan. If you use a filled region transparent that has a pattern set from a model pattern the grid can be moved, rotated, and the scale stays the same with a model pattern. You can edit the boundary lines of the ceiling, hover over the sketch lines hit the tab key, ctrl c, exit sketch, start filled region, ctrl paste into same place "paste aligned". Snap lines from your light fixtures to cut out with the pick lines command. done
