I have a footing with a pier a blend, an extrusion and another extrusion denoting the grout, leveling plate and base plate.
I had set the visibilty for the extrusions and blend to appear only in fine mode not in coarse. and it works in plan view with the footing by itself and next to a wall footing.
if I cut a section thru these footings and put it in fine my isolated footing looks correct but the footing next to the wall footing "looses" my extrusions (grout, leveling plate & base palte).
does it have to do with the line work or do i need to create additional parameters such as a "yes" "no" parameter.

Hello,

I played around with the family and i didn't find anything wrong.
The problem appears only after the pier came in contact with the wall footing. Since RS2008 there is an auto-join of piers and wall footings. I think it is a bug in RS( removing everything having a different material or isn't an extrusion). Please make a note to Autodesk to inform them.
The only solution i see is two different families : one for the pier and one for the base-plate and his grouting(and eventually making it part of the column family).

Hopefully some else is coming with a more smart solution.
