Hi all! What I want to know is if there is a way that I can set up a file with only blocks in it, a "Block Library" and insert these blocks in other dwg files, then if I need to update a block in my "Block Library" how do I get the other same blocks in other dwg files to update automatically! TIA!

Use xrefs instead of blocks. :-) If you use blocks, you have to reinsert them, which redefines the exising ones.

I think this would work if those blocks were xreffed in
and not inserted as blocks.
Or you could write a batch file that you would run after
updating your library, to open all of your drawings
insert the block library drawing and redefine all existing
blocks.

Thanks everybody! Can't use XREF because it will load the whole library of blocks rather than the "individual block"! I think the idea of a "lisp" routine is the way to go that will indentify any other blocks in other files & update. I'll give the "Lisp" guild a go on this one. Have a good one!
