After setting up a template and starting a project there does not seem to be a way to replace the titleblock used in Sheets in the template with an updated title block. Revit does not seem to have a way to update external files like xref and doubt the title blocks are xrefs in a manner of speaking. I know I can open my standard title block rename it make project specific changes and use that by loading the rfa file in my new template. But is there a way to replace the existing title block with with another loaded template?
I would thought by going to the project browser and expanding Title block families I could click once on the title block right-click and select all instances to replace with another loaded title block. Ummmm any ideas?

Titleblocks are "hiding" in the Annotation category under Families.
If your family is using the same name as the one you want to update, just use File>Load From Library>Load Family and let Revit overwrite the existing family.
Is this what you are after?

Thats almost exactly what you do.
You load titleblocks as families, select your original titleblock and substitute another one from the drop down menu in the Options Bar.

Oh,......YEAH! <smacking head>. Knew it was that simple, just looking in the wrong place!
While waiting for a reply, was looking at the new 7.0 images and picking my jaw up off the floor.
Thanks Steve and BeeGee!

Ummm....Properties?
Pretty much anything that needs to be changed is in the properties window.....walls, families, text, titleblocks...;)
Way to dig up an old post....

Load TB family, select current TB used in a sheet view in the project, click drop-down at top of Properties Palette to change the current TB to the one you just loaded.

AHHHH, well I feel stupid.
That lets me change one sheet at a time. Is there no way to change all sheets at once?? Seems like there should be.

You can open one sheet and pick the TB, then right click and Select All Instances and swap to the new TB in Properties. Unless there are sheets that you don't want changed, then its gonna be a mess.
