I guess that the first part of this question is if it is possible for rooms to take on the actual shape of the room. I have rooms with vaulted ceilings (see image.) Can Revit do a color scheme fill so that it follows the line of the roof?
If it can, is there also a way to show color schemes in a section boxed 3d view?

The room fill will go to the shape of the room. 3 things need to happen. First the object at the toop needs to be room bounding. Second, the volume calculations need to be turned on from the Settings menu. Third, the upper offest of the room needs to be positioned above the highest point of the bounding object.
All that being said this does not work in a 3d view. It only works in section views.

Thanks, I was just missing the settings menu step.
Bummer about the lack of 3d section view though.
