Help!!

I'm trying to render an exterior view and the windows are showing transparent in the model view, but when I render it with Raytrace, the windows become opaque. All my glazing settings are clear glass material, 90% transparency. I adjusted the sun settings to see if that helps and it only makes it grey or light grey. I need this now, so please respond with some good help!!

Thanks!

Open the window family and see if there is a Parameter for Materials.
If so, check the glass material.

if there is no material parameter, create one.

Save the family and load into project.

Make sure the glass is the SAME material in both the family and the project.

Does this help?

Cheers....

Your windows may be transparent, but it's too dark inside. Try changing the render preset to Exterior with interior lights on.

Thanks, Cliff!!

Your idea worked . . .its crazy how many places there are to provide material input. Sheesh!!

Yep--but it makes sense once you realize it!

Glad you got it working.
