I'm having a lot of trouble getting my stacked walls to clean up, and stay cleaned up. I fix one problem and causes another one. One thing I think could be causing the problems is that I'm using Finish Face: Exterior and at inside corners it almost always requires me to fix it with the trim command. I expect this to be a constant consideration. Can anyone share the best modeling practices that will minimize these cleanup problems. Thanks.

Sometimes if you delete and remodel, it will take care of cleanups.

Try using mitered wall joins.

Make sure that in each wall type that the stacked wall uses, the Core Boundary locations
are set correctly--do a search on Core Boundary. This is often misunderstood. The Core Boundary location helps Revit determine wall join/cleanup hierarchy for the various "layers" of the wall construction.
The stcked wall can make these problems even more evident, if the individual walls contained in it has core boundaries at incorrect locations--esp. when trying to cleanup
intersections of stacked wall with normal/non-stacked walls.
The miter tool in wall joins is also a good idea.
Hope this helps.
Cheers...
