shared parameter stops working

Every once and a while I have a shared parameter that stops working and has to be reloaded into the project on top of itself... or has to be reapplied inside the tag family, then reloaded inside the project... Does anybody else suffer these shared parameter hiccups?

I have experienced this but have never been able to figure this out...anyone else have any ideas or has anyone else experienced this?
