draw pipes only?

When my pipe network editor is open I choose the option to draw structures only and it works fine. When i choose pipes only it still adds structures and pipes.

Has anybody experienced this?

I'm not real certain on this but I believe a pipe network cannot connect pipe to pipe. I has to trick it by putting in a null structure. What you are seeing is (most likely) this null structure.
