Project Navigator glitch?

We have a project running in 09 using the PN and when users open a file, do some work, and then try to save, the file becomes a read only file. It appears that others are opening the file afterward and it is kicking the original opener out. Any ideas on why this is doing this?

i noticed this also, although i've come too realize thats not what its doing. Who ever is locked out, was the last person to access the file.
The problem is that the PN doesnt give the user the read only alert message. It's also been pointed out that when users tag the view drawings, the constructs become locked and stay locked untill the view drawing is closed.

I think that's because you can renumber your doors, windows, etc. from the view file after you tag them. PN updates the constructs and saves them "behind the scenes".
