I've been exchanging emails with my reseller and subscription support for 3 days now and still have no solution; After installing 64 bit Revit architecture 2009 on my laptop, (150gb, 4 mb ram, dual core processor, xp pro64) I kept getting "your computer does not have enough memory" when I tried to load families from either imperial library or web content. Revit was the only program open at the time. After a few email exchanges with tech support, they suggested an un/re-install. Now, every time I try to install I get a message "invailid data" on almost every folder trying to install with the option to skip or retry. Tried both several times. After the install is finished, I get "5 of 8 folders did not install successfully." I've attempted about 8-10 installs from various resources with the same result. The last one, I downloaded the install to a different computer, burned a disk, and tried installing form that. Same result. Searched around and can't find similar occurances. Need help
Thanks,
Phil

do you have autocad installed on that machine? We found that autocad if installed after revit screws revit up by removing the permissions from a certain folder. If thats not it, uninstall revit and delete all teh associated revit folders, then reinstall.

I have uninstalled and removed all folders. Can't re-install.

This is just a thought....and depends on if you have access......but you can try deleting all reference of Revit from the registry first before install. Also clear out any temp files and directories that might remain from previous attempts and clear out the recycle bin as well....

For the benefit of anyone who encounters this issue, I have finally gotten revit 64 bit to install after a dozen or so attempts. All I did different on the successfull install was to;
1. turn off firewall
2. turn off antivirus protection
3. this time I cose to configure on install and entered a serial number,(which wasn't required on normal install.)
