adjusting door display

How can I get my doors to display with jambs? Hopefully without doing any major manipulations to the family! I think the standard, out of thr box door display in Revit is a little cheeezy. Just an unconnected panel and a swing. Seems like I've seen this adjusted somewhere and it was very simple? Also would like to know how to adjust door swing percentage??

You'll need to roll up your sleeves and get into the family editor to add linework to represent your jambs. I agree that the basic door families are a little too basic but our standards may not be suitable for everyone.
You can probably find a number of good door families on line to save yourslef the work. I'd strongly suggets that you avoid using modeled geometry and stick to symbolic lines unless you do a lot of very detailed visualization.
