LAN Talk or Windows Messenger WinPOPUP

Does anyone here use LAN Messaging or such, to communicate while working in central File? If So, what do you use?

A few years ago (Version 9) I worked for a multi-office firm that looked at using Windows Messenger in conjunction with Revit. With open systems there is often concern by management about workers misusing this capability.

The need then was primarily for STC messages, which has since been fulfilled by the Worksharing Monitor.
