lateral pipes in section views???

I have created multiple section views and they seem to show the pipes running parallel to the alignment correctly but they are showing my lateral pipes at section views where they shouldn't be. Ex. i have a lateral pipe at sta. 1+500 but it shows in almost every section view.

To further complicate things, i am only getting the same three pipes showing in the views but there are 10 laterals along the alignement.

How do I literally "cut" sections so that i only see what is at that sample line or at least apply a parameter that will dictate how far beyond or in front of the sample line objects are shown.

Pipe laterals dont function too well in section views. I have found that the best way to profile laterals is to actually use profile views instead. If a pipe lateral is parallel to the section line it will display the lateral as horizontal lines across the entire section view.

Thanks, I read that somewhere yesterday. But it's not showing horizontal lines completely across the view like others report. It doesn't really explain why only the same 3 pipes are being shown in every view. Unless you are simply stating that pipes in section views are just "buggy" in general and i should just avoid them.
