View Full Version : Stacked Wall Type Mark... or should I stick to Basic Wall?

I know when creating a stacked wall, I would merge wall types already in my project that already have "Type Marks".

For example, I have a CMU wall with 3-5/8" Stud and 5/8" GWB.
The Stud & GWB is 9'-0" A.F.F., while the CMU continues up to the second level/roof.

Is there a way to have a Type Mark for a stacked wall so that it would have the same tag on multiple levels?

OR

Should I keep it as a basic wall and adjust the individual elements?

You cant give a stacked wall a Type mark. When you tag the wall and edit the tag, youre actually editing the Type Mark of whichever basic wall IN the stacked wall, you tagged.

That's what I thought... I just wanted to be sure.
